For the last time, Harry Potter is leaving Privet Drive. But as he climbs into Hagrid's motorcycle sidecar and they take to the skies, he knows Lord Voldemort and the Death Eaters are close behind.
The protective charm that had kept him safe up to this point has been shattered. The Dark Lord, on... the other hand, is instilling fear in everything he cherishes. And he realizes he can't keep hiding forever.
Harry understands that in order to defeat Voldemort, he must locate and destroy the remaining Horcruxes.
In one final battle, he will have to face his foe.
There was a clatter as the basilisk fangs cascaded out of Hermione’s arms. Running at Ron, she flung them around his neck and kissed him full on the mouth. Ron threw away the fangs and broomstick he was holding and responded with such enthusiasm that he lifted Hermione off her feet.
But you are a pureblood, aren’t you, my brave boy? Voldemort asked Neville, who stood facing him, his empty hands curled in fists. So what if I am? said Neville loudly. You show spirit and bravery, and you come of noble stock. You will make a very valuable Death Eater. We need your kind, Neville Longbottom. I’ll join you when hell freezes over, said Neville. Dumbledore’s Army! he shouted, and there was an answering cheer from the crowd, whom Voldemort’s Silencing Charms seemed unable to hold.
