Ibram X. Kendi is a bestselling author of the New York Times, and the founding director of the American University Antiracist Research and Policy Center. A history and international relations professor, and a frequent public speaker, Kendi is an Atlantic columnist. He is the author of Stamped from the Beginning: the Definitive History of Racist Ideas in America, which won the National Nonfiction Book Award, and The Black Campus Movement, which won the W.E.B. Du Bois Book Prize. Kendi currently lives in Washington, D.C.
